James Murray Obituary

Mr. James Michael Murray, 53, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2023. He was born May 25, 1970, in New York. After graduating from St. Francis Prep in Queens, NY, Jimmy went on to change the world. Dedicated to a life of service, Jimmy was a United States Marine and New York City Police officer. A selfless, caring man who was an outstanding father, husband and bakka. Jimmy had a knack for ensuring those never left his presence without a smile. Truly one of a kind. James is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Murray; son, Dale Murray (Maggie); daughter, Demi McCarley (Steve); five grandchildren: Taylor, Emily, Gabriel Michael, Landon, and Tavin; four siblings: Anna Dolega (Billy), Frank Murray, John Murray, Jr., and Barbara Curcio (Chris); parents: Angela Monroe (Wayne), John Murray, Sr., and Susan and Bob Reardon; and four nieces and nephews: Nicholas, Thomas, Eddie, and Fiona. A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 26th from 2 to 4 p.m. at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Military Honors to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road Suite 300 Jacksonville, FL 32256.
