James Williams Obituary
September 17, 1937 - October 13, 2022
Mr. James A. Williams, aka "Slick," born September 17, 1937, was called home to be with the Lord on October 13, 2022. He attended the Winston-Salem Forsyth County schools and was a graduate of Atkins High School. Mr. Williams was employed by RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company, since the age of 19 years old, and retired from both RJR and Hanes/Sara Lee Company after working a total of 43 years. Spiritually, he was a member of Macedonia Holiness Church of God. He held masonic memberships in Salem Lodge# 139 PHA and Sethos Temple #170 AEAONMS. He leaves to cherish fond memories his wife, Fannie S. Williams; daughter, Rena' (Bernard) Ceasar, Jr.; a loving grandson, Antoine M. Gamble; a dear close friend, James F. Johnson; and a host of dear nieces, nephews, other close relatives and friends. Homegoing services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, October 22 at Macedonia Holiness Church of God, 4111 Whitfield Road, WS, NC. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the church Saturday. Online condolences may be sent to www.hooperfuneralhome.net.
