Mr. Jeffrey "Larry" Lawrence Stout, 78, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023. He was born December 12, 1944 in Forsyth County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Dolly Butner Barney, and a brother, Mitchell Eugene Stout. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Elsie Hayes Stout; his sons, Jeff Stout, and Shane (Cathy) Stout; grandchildren, Adam Stout, Caroline Stout (fiancé Chase Poindexter), Ethan Stout, Grayson Stout; brothers, Floyd (Melissa) Frank Barney Jr.; brothers-in-law, Ernest Hayes and Wallace Hayes. Larry was a born-again child of God and he loved the Lord Jesus Christ. He was retired from RJReynolds with 35 years of service. Larry enjoyed RC airplanes, fishing, and he took great pride in mowing his lawn. The family will receive friends at Gentry Family Funeral Service, Monday, April 3, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. His funeral service will follow the visitation at 2 p.m. in the Open-Air Mausoleum at Westlawn Gardens of Memory 6135 Ridgecrest Point, Winston Salem, N.C. with Chaplin Mark Brown and Jim Aquilano officiating. The family would like to thank the awesome staff of SECU Mtn. Valley Home for the loving care given to Larry. And the family want to give a special thank you to their extended family, Tony and Christy Aquilano and Gigi Collins and fiancé Ryan Fullbright.
