Jesse Henry James, 92, of Winston-Salem, died October 2, 2022. He was born on January 7, 1930, to the late Mary Tesh James and Elmer Kenneth James.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Maina B. James; daughter, Vicky Jones; grandchildren, Nicholas Jones and Patrick "P.J." Jones. He is survived by his best friend, Dorothy Bedsaul; daughter, Lorrie Holder (John); grandsons, Jacob Holder and Christopher Jones; stepgrandsons, Chris Smith and Scott Smith; and stepgranddaughter, Amber Smith.
A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m., Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Meals on Wheels, Davidson County, 913 Greensboro St., Lexington, NC 27292 or to Davidson County Animal Shelter, 490 Glendale Rd., Lexington, NC 27292.
