Jimmy Weldon Wall, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Jimmy was born December 22, 1939, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to the late Clyde Weldon Wall and Margaret Mae Bowen Wall.

Jimmy was of Moravian faith. He was a career truck driver and retired from Anchor Motor Freight in 1991. Jimmy was an avid race fan, race car driver, and race team owner. He valued the time spent working in his race shop, weekends at the racetrack with family and friends, and he especially enjoyed seeing his team holding the checkered flag. Besides racing, Jimmy also enjoyed working around the farm, raising cattle, fishing at the pond, baling hay, and riding his grandkids around the farm as children. Jimmy cherished the time spent with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Nancy Smith Wall; daughter, Robin Conner (Billy); son, Doug Wall (Jackie); grandchildren, Christopher Conner (Carli), Katie Conner Bennett (Peyton), Nick Wall (Sydney), Kelsie Conner (Carson Scott); and great-grandson, Colson Conner.

A celebration of Jimmy's life will be held at Salem Funeral Home, 2951 Reynolda Road, Winston-Salem, at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, with visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m. The graveside service will be at 3 p.m., at Forsyth Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jimmy's memory to The Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Davidson Howard Givens, Dr. Mark Mitchell and Dr. Thomas Hinson for their compassionate care and dedication over the years. The family also extends sincere thanks to Medi-Home Health and Carlos Bannister.
