Joan Meadows Obituary
April 11, 1944 - April 25, 2022
Mrs. Joan Tesh Meadows, 78, passed away Monday, April 25, 2022. She was born April 11, 1944 in Forsyth County to the late Oscar Keller and Lala Bullins Tesh. Joan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. She never complained and fought like a champ to extend her time here with us. Mom will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Joan retired after 30 years of service in student loan processing at Wachovia Services, EduServ and Academic Management Services. After retirement, Joan volunteered at the Derrick Davis Cancer Center in Winston-Salem. In addition to her parents, Joan is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Ashley Sykes; brother, Wayne Tesh; and sister, Kay Haas. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Eddie Meadows; two children, Jeffrey Lee Meadows (Leigh) and Allison Meadows Sykes (Alan); five grandchildren, Hannah Meadows Collins (John), Laurel Sykes (Mason) Luke Meadows (Bethany); Maggie Sykes, Collin Sykes; great-grandson, Tripp Harmon; a sister, Peggy Dull and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2022 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, with Pastor Paula Northrop officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Duke Cancer Center, 20 Duke Medicine Cir., Durham, NC 27710. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.

Rest In Peace my Dear Friend.Growing up in Mt Tabor area we had many friends and Cherished Memories that will remain forever. Your Mother,Wayne,Peggy,Kay,and Yourself were always Kind,Sweet and Joyful in Spirit and Life.
