Julia Bradford Obituary
March 5, 1943 - September 18, 2022
Mrs. Bradford of Winston-Salem passed away peacefully after a period of declining health. She was preceded in death by her first husband Johnny Cox, second husband William Bradford, brother Barney Williamson, and sister Estelle Guernsey. She is survived by her son John (Sherry) Cox, daughter Jennifer Wall, sisters Linda (Bob) Martin and Janet (Butch) Moose, brothers Bob (Martha) Williamson and John (Barbara) Williamson, sister-in-law Mary Williamson and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was an elementary school teacher for many years before staying home to raise her family. During those years she often volunteered at her childrens' schools and was also very involved in their many activities. After the passing of her first husband she went to work at Wake Forest University retiring proudly from Z. Smith Reynolds Library.
In her spare time she enjoyed Wake Forest athletics, watching the Atlanta Braves, cooking, crafting and was an avid bowler and bridge player. Her most cherished times of the year were spent with family at the annual beach trip and at Thanksgiving which she hosted numerous times. Julia was a longtime member of Fairview Moravian Church.
A private family graveside ceremony will be held in Mt. Airy.

I just found this obituary and I loved Julia when I was there at Wake Forest. She was such a great friend and lovely personality. I am so sorry for your loss. I feel blessed to have known her.
