Kittie Ann Potts Gillians, 84, of Kernersville, passed away peacefully Friday, February 10, 2023.

A native of Durham, NC, Kittie was the wife of 59 years to Gerald Dean Gillians and the daughter of Otho Jennings Potts and Frances Williams Potts, both deceased. Kittie was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church. She was the school nurse at Gospel Light Christian School for many years where she touched many lives through her loving care. Kittie was a true woman of valor to all that knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Gerald; daughters, Joni Harrison and husband, Ricky, and Virginia Tilley and husband, Earl Junior; six grandchildren, Daniel Harrison and wife, Angel, Phillip Harrison and wife, Angela, Sunni Weatherly and husband, Greg, Jeremy Tilley, Crystal Tilley, and Robert Hendley; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Carolyn Holland.

In addition to her parents, Kittie was preceded in death by her daughter, Kristie Joanne Gillians; son, Robert Michael Hendley; first husband, Robert Pynes Hendley; one great-grandson, Christian Wilson; and brother-in-law, Charles Holland.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2023, at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel, with Rev. Frank Shumate and Rev. Mary Frances Holland officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory, Walkertown, NC. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Friday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
