I was so sad to learn of Lou Morrell's death. I have interviewed him for news articles in the past and he was always so nice and helpful. My thoughts and prayers to his family.

Dear Mrs. Morrell and family members,
I worked with Lou at Wake Forest and found him ever gracious and good humored, to accompany his very sharp mind. He served this institution so well, for which we will always be grateful. I know that many at Wake Forest will miss Lou very much.
Sincerely,
Tom Phillips

Ruth, you and your son are in my thoughts and prayers. It was a pleasure working with both you and Lou when you resided in Winston-Salem. I appreciated Lou teaching us here at Wake to invest our money wisely.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Morrell's family. I really enjoyed talking to him when he came in the bookstore on campus to get his coffee. He was a wonderful man.
