Mildred Hayes Obituary
MANY, LA - Funeral Services for Mildred M. Hayes, 83, of Many, LA, will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Many, LA with Rev. Steven Kelly and Rev. Jackie Gestes officiating. Burial will follow in the Many Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Friday, April 27, 2012 at 5:00 PM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Many, LA. There will also be an Eastern Star Service beginning at 6:00 PM on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Many, LA.
Mildred M. Hayes was taken to her Heavenly Family on April 25, 2012. She was born on February 28, 1929 in Robeline, LA to Hoyt D. and Lylia M. McAllen. She was raised in Fisher, LA and was a member of the last graduating class at Fisher High School in 1946. She was a retired teacher from the Sabine Parish School System.
She is survived by her husband, W.E. "Boots" Hayes of Many, LA; son, Steven Hayes and wife Melissa of The Woodlands, TX; daughter, Ann Lites and husband Duane of Rockwall, TX;grandchildren, Mindi Gooch of Round Rock, TX, Mandi Hall of Houston, TX, Megan Hayes of Houston, TX, Steven Hayes, Jr. of Tomball, TX, Heather Lites of Irving, TX, Travis Lites of San Angelo, TX and Marley Lites of Rockwall, TX; great grandchildren, Connor Gooch and Carson Gooch of Round Rock, TX and Caroline Hall of Houston, TX along with a host of other family members, nieces, nephews and friends.
Mildred was active in her community and church and in many civic and fraternal organizations. She was loved and respected by all who knew her.
Pallbearers will be Steven Hayes, Jr., Travis Lites, Jason Hall, Jereme Gooch, Jim Freeland, Valmore Byles, Jimmy Hardy and Ross Vincent.
