Mary Bryant Nelson Culler of Winston Salem, N.C., passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025. Mary was born on September 21, 1939, to Elijah Bryant Nelson and Pansy Lee Brown Nelson in Yanceyville, N.C. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Delano Culler; her parents; a sister, Jo-Anne Vandiver; and two brothers, William (Bill) Nelson and Gene C. Nelson.
She is survived by her daughter, Mitzi Gay Jahn (William) of Papillion, Neb.; and her son, Richard Bryant Culler (Angela) of Kernersville, N.C.; five grandchildren, Zac Jahn, Brean Jahn, Bryant Culler, Dalton Culler and Bailey Culler; and a great-granddaughter, Raya Skye Culler.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Ardmore United Methodist Church, 630 Hawthorne Rd., Winston Salem, N.C. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ardmore United Methodist Church, 630 Hawthorne Rd., Winston Salem, NC 27103, or to a charity of your choice.

May you find peace during this difficult time. Mary and my late husband worked together at RJR. I have fond memories of Mary from that time and from our work for the Winston-Salem Sertoma Club.
