MITCHELL WALNUT COVE - Mrs. Mary A. Welch Mitchell, 77, of 1030 Middle Fork Drive, died December 5, 2008. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Baileytown Christian Church in Walnut Cove where she was a member. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She born in Stokes County to the late Ernest and Eva H. Welch, October 30, 1931 and was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Dewey V. Mitchell Sr. of the home, four sons, Johnny Ray Mitchell of Kernersville, Velvin Mitchell (Brenda) of Eden, Dewey V. Mitchell Jr. of the home, Thomas L. Mitchell (Dianna) of Walnut Cove, three daughters, Marilyn H. Booe, Sarah Fulton (Rodney) and Lillie M. Goolsby all of Walnut Cove, two brothers, John W. "Dick" Welch of Winston-Salem, Gray "Knot" Welch of Walnut Cove, two sisters, Elizabeth Ida Dalton and Barbara Ann Tyner both of Walnut Cove, sixteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. The family will receive friend from 7 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at Baileytown Christian Church. Arrangements entrusted to Perry-Spencer Funeral Home, Madison.
