I watched Melissa grow from a teenager to a friendly, beautiful young lady while I worked for her parents. Her energy and personality were a blessing to everyone around her. We are praying for her family, especially for her parents and daughter. (Tracy Beach, Jamestown, NC)

Melissa was a constant reminder of all that was right in this world. Her love for her Husband Brian, and her son Carson, was always evident in her facebook messages as well as her speaking. I knew you all when we were at First Christian in Kernersville and was one of the featured soloist along with Melissa on the Praise Team in the 1990's. I remember being so impressed with Melissa's enthusiasm and how she adored you all.
I had learned of this accident from my family who live in that curve in Welcome... which is also where I grew up. Today I learned that the precious young mother involved in this tragedy was actually Melissa. My wife and I wept as we prayed for you all and her husband and son today. Words can't express our sorrow as we have been in shock all day. Our prayers go out for you and your families as we ask for God's peace and comfort in this time.you grieve this incredible loss. We are so sorry.

Tina, Clarence, Candice, Brian: In my heart I know that there are no words that will help with the pain you are going through. But please, please know that I am thinking of you all and praying for you to find the strength that you will need. It's a terrible thing that has happened to your family and to sweet Melissa. I know it's really hard to understand sometimes, but "God knows what he is doing." That's what my Momma would say to me when I couldn't seem to make sense of something. There are no words I can say that can ease the pain from your hearts. I can only say that always remember to keep your head up high and look up to the heavens sky and smile, for the Lord has took a angel away.. For Melissa was a friend, her smile and her caring ways. From the time I learned of Melissa being called home to perform the highest honor of the afterlife of being an Angel my heart has wept. We would love to keep her here forever and in vigil prayer and thoughts we will. She will truly be missed in the living but will live on in the spirit. I had the beautiful oppurtunity of meeting Melissa recently as I too am in the In Home Party business and from the time I met her it was like a magnet. She was contagious with her smile and most of all her laugh and sense of humor. I most of all appreciated her conversation and humbleness about just having a good time. I remember the first thing she told me was we In Home Party girls have to stick together and support eachother which is what we did. She was very fond of her Mother Tina and when she did my Party she was able to meet and spend time with my mother and I which we talked about later how it reminded her of her and her mom. She also spoke often of her brother Brian who from the time I met her I could tell held a special place in her heart but have no doubts she without a question loved and adored all of her family. Even the people whom came to my party that she consulted loved her and were deeply saddened of her untimely passing. She was and will always be remembered as many things but the one word that comes to my mind when I reflect on her is Remarkable. I pray for the strength, guidence, peace, laughter, humbleness, beauty, and compassion that Melissa possessed to remain with the Rierson/Loftin families as she will always be with you and will live in your hearts forever. May God continue to be with you in your life and continue to allow him to carry you thru this difficult time.
