Nancy Smith 96 of Winston Salem, left her earthly home to dwell in her prepared for home, with her Lord and Savior on October 26, 2025.

She was born in September of 1929 in the Town of Kernersville, to her late parents Ernest and Erleen Smith. She was the 3rd of 4 lovely girls, all farmers kids and who were raised with the highest moral values. They were lifelong members of Kernersville Moravian Church.

She was proceeded in death by her husband John Smith of 55 years before his passing; three sisters, three brother-n-laws.

Nancy spent her life as a good and faithful steward and servant. Her family remembers her managing every part of her full life while first consulting with the father on her knees. She loved music. She was an Adult and Junior Choir Director, and an Organist over the years.

Before retiring she worked for Baptist Hospital, Bowman Gray School of Medicine and Wake Forest Baptist for over 40 years then a few years in private practice, all in Ophthalmology.

Left to honor a mother's legacy are her three children; George Smith (Jeani), Joy Dupin (Ken), Nan Smith, and special family friend, Lynda McCaskill; Grandchildren, Faith Williams (Shane), Matthew Smith (Jennifer), Jon Dupin (Tammy), and Leigh Victoria; many Great Grandchildren, including Great Great Grandchildren; all of whom she loved and cherished dearly; including many other family members and friends, she held near.

Family would like to express a special thanks to mom's friends at Arbor Acres, including Home Care; some of which mom had grown quite close to and considered family.

At mom's request, a private graveside service will be held at Kernersville Moravian Church, where mom's friend Rt. Rev. Lane Sapp will officiate.
