Olin E. Watson, Sr.

Aug 6, 1934 - Sep 26, 2025

Olin Edward Watson was born on August 6, 1934 to the late Harvey and Mozell Watson in Davidson County, NC, and entered eternal rest on September 26, 2025. He graduated from Dunbar High School and went on to attend Winston-Salem State University. In his earlier years, Olin was raised in the fellowship of Goodwill Baptist Church, where he attended both as a child and through adulthood. Olin was a devoted family man. He lovingly raised four children: daughters Sandra Kay Miller (who preceded him in death) and Kendra (Alex) Windham, and sons, Olin E. Watson, Jr. and Kenneth L. Watson, JD, PhD. He was a guiding big brother to his siblings and is survived by his sister Irene Coleman and brothers William Lewis Watson and John Thomas Watson. He also leaves behind five nieces, eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and fourteen great-great-grandchildren, each of whom carry forward his legacy of love and unity.

Funeral service for Mr. Watson will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Goodwill Baptist Church, Clemmons, NC. The family will greet friends at 1 p.m. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
