Patricia Cooke Obituary

Cooke, Patricia Ann Holler

June 7, 1936 - September 4, 2023

Patricia Ann Holler Cooke, 87, gained her Heavenly wings on Monday, September 4, 2023 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Patricia was born in Yadkin County (East Bend) North Carolina on June 7, 1936 to the late Raymond S. Holler and Helen D. Messer Holler. She completed her schooling through the ninth grade, but later in life returned to school and proudly obtained her GED. Patricia was a homemaker for many years, raising her five children. She then went on to start a successful career as a hair stylist. Patricia attended Woodland Baptist Church for over 50 years. She loved her church and was a faithful servant of the Lord. Patricia also enjoyed working outside with her flowers and gardening. Planting by the almanac was a must! She was a wonderful cook and loved baking and canning. Everyone looked forward to her wonderful fried apple pies, egg custard pie, potato salad and pickles. No one ever left her house hungry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Calvin Cooke; three brothers; and five sisters. Patricia is survived by her five children, Debbie McNeil, Darlene Parker (Toby), Donna Barham, Christopher Cooke (Kristin) and Jason Cooke; ten grandchildren, Josh Parker, Ashley Mayne, Amanda Korn, Adam Dunn, Logan Cooke, Piper Cooke, Justin Cooke, Katelyn Cooke, Christopher Cooke, and Aaron Cooke; six great-grandchildren, Donavan Parker, Grace Mayne, Axton Korn, Archer Korn, Adley Korn and Addie Dunn; one brother, Randall Holler (Donna); and one sister, Lynda Davis. A private family graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Forbush Baptist Church in Yadkinville, with Rev. Tim Gammons officiating.
