We mourn the loss of our dear loved one, Robert Darryl Ciocan "Bobby", of Pinnacle, who departed this life on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 after a long struggle with CHF. Bobby was born October 22, 1964 in Winston-Salem to Mary Hargadon Ciocan. He graduated from North Davidson High School and attended High Point College. From his youth until his final days, he was an outdoorsman; he loved to ski, garden, kayak, bird-watch, and hike. Bobby became a master carpenter and builder, who poured his heart and soul into every project he undertook. He had a unique talent for turning simple pieces of wood or stone into beautiful works of art that will last many lifetimes. Bobby believed that everything in life should be guided by love, kindness, and forgiveness. He became a believer of the Nasarean faith and the Essene way of life as a self healer for the mind, body, and soul and was guided in his spiritual journey by the Holy Megillah Bible. In his final days, he radiated peace, often making jokes to lift the spirits of others.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Lillian Williard and Edward Hargadon, and his father, David Ciocan. Those left to cherish his memory are the love of his life, Nancy Ferguson of Winston-Salem; mother, Mary Ciocan of Pinnacle; sisters, Cynthia (Gary) Thompson, Tracie (David) Bryson, and Tammi Jones Robertson; sons, Noah Ciocan, Nicholas Dzoba, and step-son Daniel Ferguson; nieces, Rhiannon Rachelle Palmer (Michael) Frick, Elizabeth Bryson, and Lauren Robertson; nephews Steven Palmer, Jeb Bryson, and Dallas Robertson; and many other relatives and friends.

Friends and family will gather at the Family Shelter at Tanglewood Park on Friday, June 16th, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., to celebrate his life and honor his memory. At the park entrance, state you are there for Bobby Ciocan's memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to one of the charities that Bob supported: Friends of Stokes Shelter, Samaritan Ministries & Rescue Mission, PCRM, Doctors Without Borders, NRDC, Humane Society, or the Waterkeeper Alliance. Rest in peace, Bob. Thank you for the love, laughter, and grand adventure.
