Ronald White Obituary

Ronald "Ronnie" Lee White, 73, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House in Winston Salem, NC surrounded by his family.

Born in Forsyth County, he was the son of the late Luther Gideon "Gid" and Mable Virginia Johnson White and was the widower of the late Kay Boles White.

Mr. White retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company as a maintenance mechanic after 35 years. He was a Mr. Fix It who loved to tinker with mechanical things and always stayed busy whether he was working in his yard or building things. He also loved cats and dogs, especially his cat George and his dog Maggie. He loved his family and would do anything they needed to take care of them.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter; Tammy Easter (Mitch), brother; Tommy White, sister; Wanda White, grandson; Ian Privette. Also surviving are his stepdaughter; Tina Keaton (Todd Ellison), step granddaughter; Brittany Deal (Daniel), step grandson; Peyton Ellison, step great granddaughter Landry Deal, niece; Melissa Day (Todd), and great nephew; Dylan Cundiff.

The family received friends on Monday, January 29, 2024, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Slate Funeral Home in King, NC. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM, on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, in the chapel of Slate Funeral Home in King, NC. Interment followed in the King Memorial Park.
