Ruth Staley Obituary

Staley, Ruth Snow

May 15, 1941 - May 25, 2022

Mrs. Ruth Snow Staley, 81, passed away on May 25, 2022, peacefully in her sleep at her home in East Bend, NC, after a courageous battle with Dementia/Alzheimer's. Ruth won the battle with breast cancer but the insidious disease of Dementia and Alzheimer's was a battle not to be won.

Ruth was born on May 15, 1941, in Dobson, NC, to John Daniel Snow and Mary Emma Snow. She graduated from Dobson High School and retired from WFBGSM. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Thomas S. Staley of the home; her sister, Louise Snow Patterson; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ruth was preceded in death by her father and mother, John D. Snow and Mary Emma Snow; and two brothers, John S. Snow and his wife, Sue, Bill A. Snow and his wife, Mick.

There will be no visitation or grave side service. A private interment service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, one may if they wish make a donation to Hospice and Home Care Foundation of North Carolina. A special thanks to the loving and caring people of Well Care Hospice, Advance, NC, for the assistance and help provided Ruth during her battle with Dementia/Alzheimer's.
