Samuel Black Obituary
May 24, 1943 - June 6, 2023
Samuel A. Black was born in Winston Salem N.C. to the late Orville Black Sr. and Marcelette Lanier Black. He attended Atkins High School and was Class President of 11th Grade. Sammy graduated from Tennessee State University, Nashville, Tenn. His career path led to the state of Michigan where he served in the Office of Civil Rights and Human Services until retirement.
Local survivors include a first cousin and his former Atkins High School classmates with whom he remained close. A gentleman's gentleman with a brilliant mind, he will be missed by many who knew and loved him.
