Sonya Bush Obituary
Sonya Raelynn Bush passed away Monday, June 30, 2003. She was born Aug. 24, 1968, in Winston-Salem to Ruby B. Goodson. She was a graduate of East Forsyth High School and had degrees from Caldwell Com-munity College and Appalachian State University. Sonya was a valued staff member at Northwest Piedmont Council of Governments, working as an employment representative. She is survived by her mother, Ruby Goodson; a brother, Michael Goodson of Winston-Salem; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. The funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sat-urday, July 5, 2003, at the Greater Cleveland Avenue Christian Church on Lansing Drive, with the Rev. Kedrick Lowery officiat-ing. Interment will follow at Piedmont Memorial Gardens. Family visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church. (Russell)

Ruby and Michael,
I am so sorry for your loss. Sonya could brighten the room with her smile. I have fond memories of us as friends from 5th grade thru high school. She loved everyone and made people feel good about themselves. I am a better person for knowing and loving Sonya.

Dear Ruby,
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. I am so sorry that Sonya is no longer physically with us on this side but I rejoice that another child of God has gone to be with the Lord and receive her reward. I have fond memories of a quiet, sweet young girl about to graduate from East Forsyth in 1986. We had a good time talking and laughing and looking forward to our futures. Sonya, I can't believe I won't see you in a restaurant or in the mall or at noon day service praising the Lord, I am sure you rest with now. God Bless You!

Sonja was a very beautiful person. I always enjoyed my appointments with her. Sonja was a very caring and helpful person. Sonja helped me during the time when I lost my son on Jan 23 2003. I will truly miss her. I grieve for your loss of such a fine daughter.
