Stephen Blevins Obituary
October 24, 1951 - September 27, 2024
Stephen Gray Blevins, 72, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024. He was born in Surry County, N.C. to the late Rev. Charles Jackson Blevins and Frances Groce Blevins of Hamptonville. He was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed time spent tinkering, fishing, gardening and talking to people. He was a member of Swaims Baptist Church and also attended Island Ford Baptist Church. He was a long time member of the West Yadkin Volunteer Fire Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Charles Wayne Blevins; and son-in law, Nathan Daniel Rose. He was survived by his children, Stephanie Blevins Smith (Ronnie), Amie Blevins Rose, Jordan Gray Blevins; and his grandchildren, Stratton Graham Smith, Jaxon Sawyer Rose, Zayne Braxton Rose, Sayda Francine Smith and Summer Gray Blevins.
A special thanks to the wonderful nurses and staff of Trellis Supportive Care and Kate B Reynolds Hospice Home for their support and care.
A memorial service is planned for Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Swaims Baptist Church in Hamptonville. The family will accept friends at Swaims Baptist Church at 4 p.m. and the service will be at 5 p.m. No graveside service will follow.
