Steve "Rhino" Reinhalter, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully from pancreatic cancer in Winston-Salem, NC, on November 20, 2024, at the age of 71.
He will be remembered for his warm smile, contagious laugh, and the love he gave to his family and friends. His memory will live on in the countless lives he touched. Steve is survived by his wife, Linda; his kids, Leah (Joe), Billy (Bethanie), and Hannah (Nathan); his granddaughter, Marjorie; his siblings, Kevin, Diane (Dave), Susan, Mark (Shanessa), and Lynne (Larry); as well as many amazing friends, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of Steve's life will be held on November 30, 2024, at 1 p.m., at Salem Funeral home in downtown Winston-Salem on 120 S Main St. There will be a small reception after a memorial service in the sanctuary. Friends and family are invited to share stories, laughter, and refreshments in his honor. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to The Native Forward Scholars Fund.

I am deeply grateful that I was introduced to Steve, "Rhino," by my brother-in-law, Brian Rafferty, "Raff," over 40 years ago. His presence was truly contagious, leaving a lasting impact on everyone he met.
To Linda and the entire Reinhalter family, please accept my heartfelt condolences. I find comfort in knowing that these two great pals are back together once again.
