My Dear Friend Lydia (Craig),

Tean,

Our prayers are with you during this time of loss. Tommy was truly a wonderful person, who will be sadly, missed. You know we loved him dearly. I smile now, just thinking about that contagious smile and giving spirit. Just a few short weeks ago, you will remember, he bailed me, Crystal and two very frustrated babies out of a parking garage mishap :-)

Thank you for introducing him into our Family.

Prayerfully,

Telathia, Rodney (Sr.), Jasmine and Rodney (Jr.)

Tean, you and your family are truly in my prayers. I know that right now it's hard to make sense of what has happened. But try to remember that there are some things that are true- GOD still loves you and has you in his care. He will not leave you. Remember, everybody loved Tommy. He was such a wonderful person always constant everytime you'd see him, always a friend.

Stay encouraged, stay prayerful. Take care.

Tean,

The homegoing celebration for Tommy was wonderful. I will never forget the sermon "A New Frame for Tommy." Tommy was a special person who touched a lot lives in a very positive way as was evident at his memorial service yesterday when people filled the church from all across the country. As a member of the Ward-Leathers Family Reunion group I know that we will all miss Tommy greatly as a part of our fellowship. You are in my prayers. Stay strong. Remember, with God all things are possible.

To the Wright Family:

My deepest sympathy to the family of Tommy. Tommy and I worked together at St. John's Community Services. I would always see Tommy at the Jazz Fest and we would chat for a few moments. I sincerely feel that he will rest in peace because he was a true angel of God.

Dear Tean, I was very devestated by the loss of Tommy, I pray that GOD gives you and your family strength to continue on and remember all the good times with him. He was nice to all of us folks that worked with him at the Department of Health, MAA, especially me. He always gave us good advice. He was such a positive person. He was very nice and pleasant to work with, we looked forward to coming to work just to see him every day. He loved you and his family.

My Dear Friend,

Suppose one morning you don't wake up...Do all your friends know you love them? I was thinking..I could die today, tomorrow or next week, and I wondered if I had any wounds needing to be healed, friendships that needed rekindling or three words needing to be said.

Tommy, Let everyone of his friends know he loved them. Even if he thought they didn't love him back, you would be amazed at what those three little words and a smile can do. He was always ready, just in case God called him home.

Tean and Family,

I was deeply saddened to hear of Tommy's death. I will remember him with great fondness and as one who was always encouraging and happy! As a classmate (NCCU 1973), he was supportive of all of our activities and returned often to be with us. He was one who we knew we would see walk through the door with that wonderful smile and you by his side! We had great times together in college and the years afterward.

I am praying that as the days pass, you will find comfort in knowing that he loved you, he loved us and he will be in our hearts forever.

Sincerely,

Dot
