We just learned of Tony's passing this morning, and we are so sorry for your loss. Randall and I enjoyed going to his nursery and visiting with Tony. It seemed the two of them were always able to reminisce about high school days and their favorite teachers. Tony spoke fondly of his two grandchildren and what a delight they were to him.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time.

May God grant you peace at this difficult time. Tony was quite a character and we always enjoyed visiting with him when we came to get shrubs and trees. He was very knowledgeable and was always very helpful. We will think of him often as the various trees and shrubs around our yard grow and prosper. He will be missed.

I"m so sorry for your loss. I live in Nashville, TN and would come over to NC to visit my mom & sister in East Bend. I always made it a point to drop by the nursery and load up my Jeep with shrubs or trees from Smitherman's. Tony was always so kind & helpful when we visited. He was an exceptionally nice guy and I'm sure he will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.

I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.
