Bill had a very civic mind and served on many boards in our community including Junior Achievement, City-County Planning Board, Board of Trustees at the University of the South at Sewanee, and Board of Trustees at Pfeiffer University, achieving Emeritus status. He was a member of Forsyth Country Club, the Downtown Rotary and a past member of the Twin City Club. Bill was an active member of St Paul's Episcopal Church.
