Allen M. Maas
April 17, 1935 - April 6, 2024
BEAVER DAM - Allen M. Maas, 88, of Beaver Dam, and formerly of Randolph, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the Columbus Health and Rehab Center. Allen was born on April 17, 1935 in the Town of Mackford, Green Lake County to Herbert and Emma (Mielke) Maas. He was a 1953 graduate of Randolph High School.
Allen served his country in the U.S. Army, training in Fort Knox and later stationed in Friedberg, Germany with Co. B 52nd Infantry.
He was married to Sally A. Braun on October 9, 1971 at First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.
Allen began his career as a truck driver with Beaver Transport in 1965 and went on to drive semi for Carnation/Nestle in 1971, where he retired from in 1999. He was a proud Teamsters member.
Allen was an avid reader of the newspaper. He loved being on his tractor and taking care of his yard. He was an animal lover, especially cats and dogs. Allen enjoyed traveling and taking family vacations. He was a kind and generous man who always put family first.
Allen is survived by his wife, Sally; his children: Tommy Rupp of Fox Lake, Vicky Cranfield of Adams, Jackie (Bob) Sheahan of Crivitz, John (Julie) Rupp of Friendship, Randy (Suzette) Maas of Oshkosh and Cindy (Doug) Terrell of Kenosha; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings: Edwin, Marilyn, and twin sister, Helene; and his daughter-in-law, Renate; and grandson, Thomas.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Beaver Dam Girl Scout House on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
