David Schmude Obituary
June 9, 1946 - March 29, 2025
HORICON - David Schmude, age 78, of Horicon, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at his home.
A funeral service for David will be held on Friday, April 11, at 3 p.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville with the Rev. Dr. Mark G. Cutler presiding. A visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon.
David was born the son of Herbert and Esther (Manthey) Schmude, on June 9, 1946, in Beaver Dam. He was a graduate of Horicon High School. David was a longtime employee of Beatrice Cheese and retired from Conagra. In his spare time, David loved sports. He was an avid fan of the Brewers, Packers, and the Badgers. He also loved Horicon Athletics, especially the women's high school softball in which he rarely missed a game. David also enjoyed taking rides around the city of Horicon.
David is survived by his niece, Debbie Roggenbauer of Burnett; his nephews, Jeff (Rhonda) Schmude of Horicon and Bryan (Laura) Schmude of Horicon. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dennis and Dale; sister-in-law, Priscilla; and nephew, Brett.
