May 13, 1955 - September 9, 2025

Mark C. Koepsell, 70, of Mayville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at his home.

Mark was born on May 13, 1955 the son of Charles and LaVerne (Krueger) Koepsell in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. He was a 1973 graduate of Mayville High School and in 1977 graduated from the University of Minnesota in Mortuary Science. Mark was very proud to work at the Koepsell Funeral Home with his family for many years serving the families in the Mayville community with care and compassion. Mark was united in marriage with Deanna Adelmeyer on September 20, 2019 in Mayville, Wisconsin. Mark was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Mayville, Wisconsin.

Mark loved spending time at the cottage in Eagle River, traveling, golfing, and cheering on his favorite sports teams. An avid outdoorsman, he especially enjoyed hunting at the Blue Wing Hunting Club in Rush Lake, Wisconsin and the thrill of Muskie fishing and enjoyed Canadian fishing trips.

Mark had a deep love of music and attended countless concerts over the years. One his favorite pastimes was reading, particularly biographies and newspapers. Mark had a great appreciation for a perfectly grilled steak. He was also a gardener at heart and found joy in tending to wildflowers.

Mark treasured time with his daughter and granddaughters. He enjoyed being with family and his many friends. He loved his faithful companion Eddie. Mark was a kind and gentle man who lived knowing he was deeply loved.

Mark will be deeply missed by his wife, Deanna; daughter, Heather Stockwell (fiancé James Redmond) granddaughters: Jasmine Koepsell (fiancé Matthew Jones) and Patty Stockwell (Tristan Moore); great-grandchildren, Bryan Jones and Rosealee Jones; step-daughters: Anna (Corey) Kunde and Margaret (Nick) Neuman and their son, Leo Neuman; his siblings: Jane (Jerry) Lautenschlager, Russ (Kim) Koepsell and Beth (Tom) Zeamer. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and LaVerne Koepsell and his great-grandson, Griffin Jones.

A memorial gathering for Mark will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 from 11:00 a.m., until 1:00 p.m., at St. John Lutheran Church in Mayville. A memorial service will begin at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Dr. Mark Cutler officiating.

Mark's family extends a heartfelt thank you to the Mayville Police Department and the Dodge County Medical Examiners for their compassion and professionalism. Your kindness will always be remembered.
