Michael P. Schwantz, age 58, of Portage, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at SSM Health.

St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, with his family at his bedside. Following a long battle with squamous cell carcinoma along with complications from a recent surgery. Mike was born June 19, 1966 in Wisconsin, the son of Calvin and Susan (Tonn) Schwantz. He was married on September 21, 1991 in Briggsville, WI to Tammy Isaacson. Mike was employed with Vacationland Vendors for 30 years while supporting his three children. Mike loved the outdoors, maintaining a garden every spring, mastering delicious meals, trying new cuisines, and thoroughly loved spending time with his family especially throwing the ball for his beloved dog Kora. He is survived by his wife, Tammy; three children, Nicholas (Aspen), Ella, and Kaelynn (Wade) Schwantz; and two grandchildren, Calvin and Logan Schwantz. He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin (2006) and Susan (2009) Schwantz; his sister, Christine Tetzlaff (1990); and his uncles, Gary Schwantz (2004) and Ralph Tonn (2007). Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at St. Mary's Help of Christian's Church in Briggsville, Wis., with Father Randy officiating. Visitation starts at 9:30 a.m. with lunch following service.
