Neal Turner Obituary

Neal Allan Turner passed away peacefully at the age of 74 on November 9th, 2023. He was born on May 9th, 1949, to Allan and Phyllis Turner in Montello, Wisconsin.

Neal is survived by his wife Jeanne, son Thomas Turner, daughter JoAnne Turner (Joe Hembrook), and grandchildren Michael Turner, Brooke Turner, Sydney Gerrior, and Maverick Gerrior. He is also survived by his sisters Jean (Roger) Hodel, Ann (Robert) Knuteson, Mary (Russ) Evansen, brothers-in-law Dennis (Judy) Schneider, and Ray (Char) Schneider, as well as his many nieces and nephews.

Neal's passion for farming began at a very early age on his family's farm. As a farmer, he grew field corn and soybeans and loved making square hay bales. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and playing cards. His enduring faith in God was strong until the very end of his life.

A memorial service will be held in person and virtually at the Moundville Methodist Church on December 2nd, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with a light lunch to follow. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to your favorite charities can be made in his honor.

A special thank you to the staff at The Meadows of Fall River, and to the staff from Generations Home Care and Hospice for their special care and kindness to Neal during this transition.
