WEST BARABOO - Rocky Lee Cormican, age 71, of West Baraboo, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024 at St. Clare Hospital.
Rocky, son of Elmer and Marjorie (Blodgett) Cormican was born September 18, 1952 in Baraboo. Rocky graduated from Baraboo High School in 1970. He graduated from MATC Diesel Mechanic program in 1978.
On May 12, 1979, Rocky was united in marriage to Karen L. Anderson. He worked at Fabick (Fabco) Caterpillar for 38 years before retiring in 2016.
Rocky enjoyed deer, goose, and turkey hunting with his friends and family. He also enjoyed playing Euchre and Sheepshead. He was an avid Packer and Badger fan, unless they weren't playing how he thought they should be playing. He loved going to auctions, picking sweet corn, and sitting with his friends solving world problems.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 45 years, Karen; children: daughter, Megan (Jason) Sentowski and son, Jason Cormican; also survived by his siblings: Ronald (Donna) Cormican, Roger (Judy) Cormican, Randy Cormican, Shelley Cormican, Russell (Jody) Cormican; several nieces, nephews, many extended family members and friends.
Rocky was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Marjorie Cormican; two sisters: Dawn Cormican and Starr Simonds; father-in-law, Orrin K. Anderson; mother-in-law, Patricia Anderson; and brother-in-law, Mark Anderson.
The family would like to thank Dr. Mustain, his nurses, Linda and Ashley, SSM Health St. Clare-ER staff and SSM Health St. Clare-ICU staff. The family would like to especially thank Mandy Ertz at the Redlin-Ertz Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Redlin-Ertz Funeral Home with Pastor Steven Keller officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Rocky and worked together for 8 years!! He was a wonderful boss!! Always fair and a man's man!! He will be missed dearly!!
