Rosalie Walther Obituary

Rosalie Ann Walther

July 7, 1938 - September 12, 2025

Rosalie A. "Rosie" Walther, 87, of Fall River, former long-term resident of Helenville and Jefferson, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025, at the Meadows of Fall River.

Rosie was born on July 7, 1938, in Watertown, Wisc., the daughter of Walter and Rose (Boos) Garity. She grew up in Sullivan and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1956. She was introduced to Warren "Pee Wee" Walther by a friend and they were married on November 30, 1957, in Sullivan. The couple enjoyed 60 years of marriage, until his death in 2017. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Jefferson and served on the parish council and finance committee. Rosie was employed at F&M Bank in Jefferson for over 30 years, retiring in the year 2000. Retirement didn't go well, as she loved being involved with people. She went to work for Meyers Market in Helenville, Fort Credit Union, and volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul in Jefferson. Rosie and Pee Wee were very involved with local baseball, especially the Jefferson Blue Devils. She earned "Scorekeeper of the year" for the Land-O-Lakes League several times with the Helenville Blue Devils.

She is survived by her daughter Marie Davidson of Randolph, and her grandchildren Anna Marie (Dan Robson) of Portage and Joshua of Milwaukee. She was as devoted to them as they were to her. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; siblings, Louise Rawl and Richard Garity; and son-in-law, David Davidson.

The family would like to thank the staff of The Meadows of Fall River Memory Care, and Generations Hospice.

Memorials may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Jefferson Blue Devils Baseball, or Special Olympics of WI in Rosie's honor.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Jefferson, with Msgr. Donn Heiar presiding. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church. She will be laid to rest at Zion Cemetery in Helenville following Mass.
