Vernon Trecek Obituary
October 30, 1935 - January 5, 2025
PORTAGE - Vernon E. Trecek, age 89, founder of Trecek Automotive, of Portage, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2025, at Tivoli Assisted Living in Portage, Wis., surrounded by his loving family.
Vern was born on October 30, 1935, in Boscobel, Wis., the son of Joe and Isa (Botten) Trecek. Vern and Marlene Hubanks married on June 28, 1959, in the Methodist Church in Boscobel.
A memorial service to honor Vern's life will be held at the Portage United Methodist Church at 1804 New Pinery Rd., Portage, Wis., on Friday, January 31, 2025, at noon, with visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of service. A luncheon will follow at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Dementia Society of America at www.dementiasociety.org/memorials.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate care staff at Tivoli Nursing Home and Agrace Hospice.

Vern was a good neighbor and friend since 1973. Always there to help. Have too many memories to mention just one. Our thoughts and prayers are for all his family and friends who will miss the real Vern.

I purchased 4 vehicles from Vern over the year's. He was so very nice to work with. RIP Vern heaven is gaining a good soul.
