William N. "Billy Boy" Noll
Jan. 26, 1945 - May 22, 2024
PORTAGE – William N. "Billy Boy" Noll, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at his home in Saddle Ridge.
He was born on January 26, 1945, in Madison, the son of Norman and Geneva (Hougland) Noll.
Bill owned and operated Tamarack Pizza in Portage for 50 years. He belonged to the Portage Elks B.P.O.E. Lodge #675 and the Wisconsin Tavern League.
He was a great father and was very generous to all that knew him. Whether it was money, guidance or just a ride or a cocktail, you could always count on Billy.
He was a true outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. His cabin trips were such a delight to him. He enjoyed all Wisconsin sports – always knowing when the games were on and trying to watch them all.
Bill poured his heart and soul into his work at his four Tamaracks. He took pride in preparing food from scratch, which included the grinding of meat for his amazing burgers.
He treasured time with the "coffee clutch gang" and truly had a zest for life. Whether good or bad, you didn't have to wonder where you stood with Billy, as he was very expressive with his opinions.
He is survived by his dear companion, whom he originally met in high school, Mary Traino; his children: Jamie (Courtney) Noll and Heidi (Keith) Veres; eight grandchildren: Brittany, Jannai, Sophi, Sami, Ryan, Tayowah, Max and Duke; his great-grandson, Levi; his sister, Judy Broge; nephew, Tom (Kirsten Hall) Broge; great-nephews: Anders and Stefan; other relatives and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Norma Ploc and his brother-in-law, Gary "Cork" Broge.

Oh Boy..do the memories pour from our hearts to hear this sad news... so many crazy and so many great escapades we got into in high school and after. Bill your life story is perfectly described in the beautiful obituary. You and Ron wrote some stories in Lake Nebagamon, WI... during hunting season, the folks up there are still talking about!!. Your later years were interrupted by some difficult health issues. Rest now, Bill and save a place for us. Sandy & Ron Milward
