Joanne Zellner Obituary
Joanne Jeannette Zellner, age 75, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Pastor Norman Paul will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service on Sunday. Private burial will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date.
Joanne was born March 13, 1939 in Wisconsin Rapids to Roy and Arvilla (Janz) Estlund. She married James Gellerman on June 1, 1963. She later married Robert Zellner on December 7, 1978.
Joanne was a loving mother, wonderful homemaker, and dedicated caregiver to both young and old. She was a steadfast and faithful servant of God, as a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Joanne enjoyed volunteering at Riverview Hospital as a greeter. Joanne liked to go bowling and was an avid Elvis Presley fan.
Joanne is survived by her two daughters: Terri Gellerman (Leroy Kummer) and Khrys (Jim) Riley; nine stepchildren; six grandchildren: Michael, Holly, Colin, Connor, Kaetlyn, and Christian; two brothers: William Estlund and John (Darlene) Estlund; and nephew Scott (Katie) Estlund.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert and her parents Roy and Arvilla.
Memorials may be donated to the Portage County Humane Society.
Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Wisconsin Rapids is assisting the family.
