Patsy Mills Obituary
Patsy Ruth (Narlow) Mills, 85, passed away on August 20, 2014 at Pine Ridge Assisted Living in Wisconsin Rapids, WI from complications following a fall.
Pat was born on June 12, 1929 in Birnamwood, WI, the eldest daughter of Helen E. (King) Narlow and Harrot J. Narlow. Siblings include her late sister, Donna (Robert) Gilray of Appleton, WI and brother Doug Narlow of Coral Springs, FL. Pat attended Birnamwood schools and graduated from Birnamwood High School in 1948. Following high school, she studied cosmetology and became a licensed beautician in Milwaukee WI. Pat married Oconto WI native William James Mills on November 28, 1950. The couple had five children: Blair (Barb) Mills of Fond du Lac, Darcy (Howard) Stafford of Oxford, Curtis (Mary) Mills of Battle Creek, MI, Lisa (Ken) Moyle of Hancock, MI and Guy (late Elise) Mills of Conyers, GA.
Pat enjoyed homemaking and loved to share recipes and tips with her friends and family. She enjoyed playing cards with friends, woodworking, furniture refinishing, clogging, roller skating, and Pat and Bill often went square dancing together. A long-time member of First Congregational Church, she spent many years working as a volunteer in the office. Pat's good humor and vibrant spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, one daughter-in-law and one grandson, Jamie Johnston. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 63 years, Bill, their 5 children, 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 6th from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. at First Congregational Church, 311 2nd St. Wisconsin Rapids. Service will be 11 A.M. at the church, with Reverend Susan Stein officiating. Cremation has taken place. Entombment will follow at Garden of Memories Mausoleum at Forest Hill Cemetery.

My mother is Suzanne (Mills) Koerner. She is recovering from a stroke at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. I am writing on her behalf to express the condolences of our family in the death of Pat Mills. We have many happy memories of spending time with your family in Birnamwood years ago. Unfortunately, we've not been in touch for a while. May God bless your family.

I had many pleasant visits with Pat over the years as we assembled the church newsletter and worked on other projects. She was such a willing worker. Love the way she shared recipes and funny comics and clippings, and helped coordinate my return visits to Wis Rapids.
