Paul F. Cartee Sr.

Wisconsin Rapids - Paul F. Cartee Sr., age 75, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI (Town of Saratoga) and formerly of Naperville, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021, at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home.

Paul was born February 9, 1945 in St. Francis, MO to Joseph and Ola Marie (Henderson) Cartee. He married Ruth Ann Giertz on March 18, 1977 in Yorkville, IL.

Paul was employed as a Tool and Die Setter and then Quality Control Manager with Lyon Metal Products in Montgomery, IL, before retiring after almost 40 years of service. Paul's greatest love was anything that involved outdoor activity including trapshooting with his friends at Heart of Wisconsin Sportsman Club, golfing, and riding the ATV/UTV trails throughout the state.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Ruth Ann (Giertz) of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; daughter, Jenny Lynn (JoLynn) Andrews of Plainfield, IL; sons, Paul (Marci) Cartee Jr. of Yorkville, IL and James (partner Ann Young) Cartee of Aurora, IL; stepson, Scott V. LaFond of Tallahassee, FL; two grandchildren, Stephen Cartee and Lauren Cartee of Illinois; two step-grandsons, David LaFond of Louisianna and Benjamin LaFond of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joseph and Robert Cartee; two sisters, Mary King and Melba Gregory; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Cartee and Penny Cartee; sister-in-law, Sandra Grob; and daughter-in-law, Toni LaFond.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home, 2201 Chestnut Street, Wisconsin Rapids, WI with a funeral service at 6:00 P.M. All current COVID precautions including wearing face masks and social distancing will be followed.
