Randall Finup Obituary

Finup, Jr., Randall

Randall Gordon Finup, age 43, passed away, in his home, in Knowlton, Wisconsin, Tuesday, September 16, 2015 of a heart attack. Despite his extensive time in and out of the hospital, his family finds comfort in knowing that his last moments were spent in his own home, in his own bed.

He is survived by his parents; Carol A. Finup and Randall Finup Senior, his wife and best friend; Sherry Gormley- Finup, his son; Cole Finup, his brother; Christopher Martin Finup, his sister; Kelly Lurkich (Matt), his two sisters-in-law; Christy Gormley and Kelly Badea (Othaniel); and his 9 nieces and nephews, Nathan ,Alyssa, Bailey, Jordan, Sean, Sarah, Jared, Joshua and Caleb.

Randy was a man of extraordinary courage. He fought a long, hard battle beginning in 2006 when his health began to deteriorate. For many years he fought, day in and day out. He suffered a double amputation in 2009, followed by several other amputation operations, resulting in extremely limited mobility. Despite every complication, every set back, every obstacle in his way, he always maintained a consistent display of incredible courage and strength, as well as a hunger for adventure. "Buck", as he is often called by his close friends and family, lived a life spent seeking adventure. From his early love for waterskiing, to Packer and Badger Games, to snowmobiling across the frozen Lake DuBay to summer days on his boat.

Visitations will be held at Higgins Funeral Home (631 E Grand Ave.) on Monday, September 21, 2015 between 4 and 8 pm as well as Tuesday, September 22, 2015, between 10 and 11 am. A short service will begin at 11 am to remember his life. Any memories you may have of Randy, bring along to share. A celebration of his life will be held directly after. On line condolences can be made at www.HonorOne.com

Randy you were an amazing man. You struggled through life these last few years, but every time same back on top and more determined. Your zest for life was incredible, you never let anyone or anything stand in your way. We are going to miss you so so much. The Packer and Badger games at our favorite watering hole will never be the same. All the great times just laughing and having fun, dancing, singing and even the yelling at the TV screen just won't be the same without you there. The Lake will be missing someone that loved every minute of crewing around enjoying the sun and relaxing on the sand bars. You will always be in our hearts and thoughts. We love you Randy and miss you so much already. Sherri your wonderful and also amazing wife will be well taken care of. Your friends will be at her side and caring for her in good times and sad. Rest in peace our dear friend and let God take care of you now. Walk on steady feet and please, as we all kept telling you, stay on your bar seat. Love Today, Tomorrow and Always, Jeff and Cheryl Moeser
