Alice Bogdan Obituary

Alice Bogdan, 94, of Utica, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at MVHS Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born on December 31, 1930, Alice was the daughter of the late Walter and Catherine (Sypulski) Pliska. She was a graduate of UFA. On July 19, 1952, Alice married Walter Bogdan. They shared a blessed union of over 47 years prior to his passing on May 12, 2000. Alice worked for many years at Utica National Insurance Co. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Alice enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the West Side Senior Center and the Legion of Mary. Surviving Alice are her children, Carol (Don) Zogby, Joan (Kevin) Sheridan, Robert Bogdan, Susan (Doug) Bamford; grandchildren, Brian (Margherita) Zogby, Craig (Danielle) Zogby, Christopher Zogby, Andrew Zogby, Kevin (Judy) Sheridan, Erik (Lauren) Sheridan, Chad (Erica) Sheridan, Jennifer Hall, Erika Hall, Stephanie Hall and Justin (Hailey) Hall; and 15 great-grandchildren. She had a special relationship with her cousin, Jane Bazan, with whom she spoke daily, and many friends that she shared countless wonderful times with. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Private interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Yorkville. Arrangements are under the direction of McGrath, Myslinski, Kowalczyk & Nunn Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd., Utica.
