Ann Tucker Obituary

In Loving Memory Ann M. Tucker June 9, 1940 – September 4, 2024 Ann M. Tucker, 84, of Camden, NY; passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 in her sister, Peg Niper's home, surrounded by her loving family. Born June 9, 1940 to the late Leo and Charlotte LaSalle. She attended a one room school house through 8th grade and graduated from APW High School in 1957. She married Donald W. Tucker on October 7, 1961 who passed away in 1989. Ann worked for 11 years at the First Trust and Deposit Co. in Syracuse, NY and then had a 25-year career with Bristol Myers Squib, working in the division of Regulatory Affairs as a liaison between the government and Bristol, responsible for new drugs being brought to the market. After her retirement, Ann had her dream home built by her nephew, Darryll LaSalle and lived there for 30 years. Ann was a wonderful quilter, making over 100 quilts and belonging to four different quilting clubs. She loved puzzles, crocheting, country music and the family joking called her a "Junker in Training" because of her many, many collections. Ann was pre-deceased by her parents; her husband, Don; a brother, Robert LaSalle; two brothers-in-law, Robert Skellington and Robert Niper and her long-time companion, Ed Gorman. She is survived by three brothers, Alan LaSalle, of Westdale, George (Patty) LaSalle of Belfast, NY and Charles (Denise) LaSalle of Williamstown; two sisters, Peg Niper and Ellen (Ken) Walker, both of Camden; along with all her beloved nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice and Palliative Care of Oneida, Herkimer and Eastern Madison Counties for the loving care and support given to Ann and Peg. Graveside Services will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 in Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown.
