In Loving Memory Annette C. Smothers March 21, 1949 – August 29, 2025 TABERG, NY - Annette C. Smothers, 76, of Taberg, NY; passed away peacefully at home on Friday August 29, 2025, with her children and grandchildren by her side after a brief illness. Annette was born on March 21, 1949, in McConnellsville/Camden, NY; the daughter of Robert and Joyce Grinnell DeWolfe. Annette married Andrew M. Smothers on February 3, 1968, in Taberg. Annette and Andrew had a Beef Farm then a Dairy Farm in Taberg. Annette was a full-time homemaker for her family. She loved cooking, gardening, the farm life and her critters. Annette is predeceased by her husband, Andy; her parents; her baby sister Sharon and her, brother Robert. Annette is survived her daughters, Lori Smothers and Christy Brazie; her sons, Bear Smothers and Matthew Smothers; special daughter-in-law, Brittany Harosia; her grandchildren, Cari ( Rick), McKenna, Jerremy Brazie, Hank, Waylon and Ada Smothers; her sister, Heidi (Bruce) Buell; her brother James DeWolfe; her sister-in-law, Sharon Smith; her brothers-in-law, Bob and Dick Galek along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Annette's family would like to extend their deepest thanks and gratitude to Hospice Nurses, Chris and Debbie and the Taberg Volunteer Fire Department. Their volunteers were there when Annette needed them the most, Especially Ernie Flagg, his daughter Katelyn and neighbor, Tina Boncella.
