Arlene B. ManWarren

SMYRNA: Arlene B. ManWarren, 82, Lawrence-Hunsicker Rd., passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at her home. She was born June 9, 1943, in Hamilton, a daughter of the late Harry and Marjorie (Heath) Brown and graduated from Hamilton High school. On April 12, 1969, in Hamilton she married Carl R. ManWarren, a union of over 40 years, until his passing on June 24, 2010. Carl (Ronnie) served his country as a United States Marine and was a Vietnam Veteran who was considered by his family to be a hero. Arlene was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed caring for her home and family. She loved to knit and was affectionately known as the "Sock Lady" at the Smyrna Knitters Group. Arlene was an avid reader who shared her love of books with her family and was on the Smyrna Board of Trustees for more than 20 Years. Surviving are her sons and a daughter-in-law, Timothy ManWarren of Smyrna, Devan and Rebecca ManWarren of Hebron; granddaughters, Addison and Elliana ManWarren; brother and sister-in-law, Harry "Bud" and Sylvia Brown of NC; brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law, Jerry ManWarren, Donna and Joseph Loscavio, Diane and James Grewe, Connie ManWarren all of Fl., Also surviving are her lifelong friend Sharon Boise of Sherburne and honorary daughter Sandy Jones. A special Thank You to Sharon and Sandy for lasting friendships, and amazing selfless support. Arlene simply adored her "Amazing Granddaughters" and loved to brag about them or share a picture or two of them with everyone she knew. Arlene never lost her great sense of adventure, she loved to travel and was even spotted zip lining at the age of 75. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Smyrna Public Library, PO Box 202, Smyrna, NY 13464, in her name would be greatly appreciated. Friends are invited and may call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne, NY 13460, on Sunday, August 24, 2025 from 2-4pm. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
