In Loving Memory Bruce E. Dion August 21, 1955 – May 21, 2025 CAMDEN, NY - Bruce E. Dion, 69, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025, surrounded by the enduring love of his family and friends. Born on August 21, 1955, Bruce lived a life defined by quiet strength, integrity, and an unwavering devotion to those he held dear. A proud veteran, Bruce served honorably in the United States Air Force, where he developed the technical expertise and disciplined mindset that shaped the course of his professional life. Following his service, he enjoyed a long and respected career at IBM as a machine maintenance technician and technical expert. He was known not only for his skill and precision, but for the calm, thoughtful way he approached every challenge. Outside of work, Bruce was most at home in nature. He found peace and fulfillment in the outdoors-hiking, camping, or simply enjoying the stillness of the woods or an open sky. His love for the natural world reflected the way he lived: grounded, observant, and deeply appreciative of life's quiet moments. Bruce was a devoted father, a supportive brother, and a loyal friend. He had a quick wit, a generous heart, and an extraordinary ability to bring laughter to those around him-often with a well-timed, lovingly sarcastic comment. He was the person people turned to for practical advice, a steady hand, or just the right words at just the right time. He is survived by his children, Caity Dion and Alex Dion; his sisters, Gail Benson and Maria Dion; and his brother, Mark Dion. He now joins his beloved mother, Joyce Dion, and his brother, Gary Dion, in eternal rest. Bruce's legacy lives on in the kindness he shared, the wisdom he offered, and the countless lives he quietly touched along the way. A private celebration of life will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a local conservation group, veterans' organization, or trail association-causes Bruce would have proudly called "a good use of resources."
