Mr. Charles L. Andrews

Charles Lee Andrews "CJ", age 31, of Rome, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, after a courageous battle with mental health. CJ was born in Rome on April 12,1993, to the late Jacqueline (Gilboy) Tennant, and graduated from Rome Free Academy. He loved to do construction and could fix anything. He was out going and loved playing softball, and enjoyed playing catch with any child he met. He also loved to draw, and was a light to anyone who had the pleasure to meet him. CJ is survived by his sisters, Cheyanne "Mom" Farda of Lee Center, Shari Andrews of Lyons Falls, NY, and Ashley Wagner of Vermont; his brothers, Nicholas "Nick" Tennant, Donald Tennant Jr., Matthew Tennant, and Richard Farda, and Victor Bean all of Rome; many nieces and nephews who he loved and adored, Jaidyn (God child), Havannah, Sheylynn (God child), Stephen Jr., Austin, Kaileb, Tori, Ryker, Trenton, and Autumn; his step-father, Donald "DJ" Tennant, Sr.; his best friends of many years, Stephanie Rienzo, Angelia Brazie, Tiffany Hernandez, Taylor "Tay" Drake, and Luis Arce, and so many more. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Barbara Gilboy; and brother, Johnny Wagner. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 6 PM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 6 PM prior to the service. Please wear purple, red, or jerseys in memory of CJ.
