Clara Fiorentino Obituary

HERKIMER – Clara 'Marie' Fiorentino, age 90, a lifelong Herkimer resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the Foltsbrook Center in Herkimer, where she has resided for the past five years. Born in Herkimer on January 23, 1935, Marie was the daughter of the late Dominick and Angelina (Costentino) Fiorentino. She was raised and educated in Herkimer, attending local schools. Throughout the years, Marie worked as a cook at Cherry's Restaurant in Herkimer, as well as for General Electric in Utica. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Church in Herkimer. She loved to travel and spend time with her beloved family, as well as with her employer and friend, Grace Cherry. Although Marie never had children of her own, she leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and extended family members, all of whom she loved dearly. She also leaves her beloved dog, Poppy. She was predeceased by her parents, Dominick and Angelina; her brothers, Frank Fiorentino, Carlo Fiorentino, Dominick Fiorentino and Joseph Fiorentino; and her sister, Rose Bernier. Marie's earthly remains will be laid to rest with her parents in Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer, at a date and time to be announced. Final arrangements were pre-arranged and entrusted to the Enea, Ciaccia & Applegate funeral directors. Online notes of sympathy may be left at www.eneafamily.com.
