Dorothy Bartlett Obituary

Dorothy E. Bartlett,91, of Taberg, passed away peacefully at Colonial Park Nursing and Rehabilitation in Rome. She was born in Fishkill, NY, on September 24, 1934, a daughter of the late Horace and Margaret (Didden) Pool. On May 1, 1965, she was united in marriage to Leon Bartlett. He passed away March 7, 2018. Dorothy owned and operated Standard Carbide Die Co. in Westdale with her late husband. She previously worked at the Florence Hotel and Knotty Pine Restaurant in Wampsville. Dorothy was a member and past Grand Officer of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by three daughters, Lorraine Buckingham, Peggy Lee Farley, and Mary Jane Wiggins (Timothy); three sons, Larry Bartlett (Donna), Leon "Chip" Bartlett, Jr. (Wendy), and Randy Bartlett; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Frank "Bud" Bartlett; a sister, Peggy Metott; two brothers, Horace and Robert Pool; grandson, Joshua Bartlett; nephew, Gary Pool; and son-in-law, David Buckingham. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Interment will take place in Westdale Cemetery.
