Edward Sierra Obituary

In Loving Memory Edward A. Sierra May 28, 1939 – June 20, 2025 CAMDEN, NY – Edward A. Sierra, 86, of Camden, NY; passed away peacefully at his home; on Friday, June 20, 2025. He was born on May 28, 1939, in Derby, Connecticut to the late Henry A. and Dicie Bostic Sierra. Ed was a graduate of St. Albans High School in West Virginia and attended American University in Washington, DC. He would go on to serve as a Police Officer for the DC Metro Police for 22 years. He was featured twice in True Detective Magazine for cases he presided over on the Police Force. He also worked security for five presidential inaugurations and for Pope John Paul II's visit to Washington, DC. Ed had many hobbies including many years of coaching for the Boys and Girls Club, Volksmarching and was a member of Hiking clubs. He successfully hiked through many of the states east of the Mississippi and had started working his way westward. He was an avid sports fan, enjoying the Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Ravens and Washington Capitals. He was pre-deceased by his sister, Glada Duke, of West Virginia. Ed is survived by his wife, of 63 years, Carol; his daughter, Amanda; and his son, Edward Jr. Funeral Services will be celebrated Privately. Arrangements are in care of LaRobardiere Funeral Home, 109 Main Street, Camden, NY.
