Frank J. Nowak III

Frank J. Nowak, III, age 74, of Whitesboro, passed away on March 20, 2024. He was born September 19, 1949, in Utica, NY the son of Frank J. and Florence C. Nowak, Jr. Frank was a graduate of Whitesboro Central High School, class of 1967. He received his Bachelor's degree from Oneonta State University, and earned his Master's degree from Syracuse University. Mr. Nowak was an educator for the Utica City School District having taught at John F. Kennedy and Utica Free Academy. A talented musician, Frank was a guitarist and vocalist for the local band "Two-Way Street." He was a proud member of A.A., sponsoring others to maintain sobriety. Frank was a devoted Catholic and lifelong member of St. Paul's Church, Whitesboro. He is survived by four children he shared with Anne Moore VanStander: Laurie and Michael Park, Jonathan and Shannon Nowak, Christopher and Lisa Nowak, and Meghan and Andrew Klausner; and nine grandchildren: Christopher, Kathleen and Annabelle Park, Sophie and Jack Nowak, Ethan and Alex Nowak, and Finley and Hadley Klausner; a sister, Judy Kelly; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, and a sister, Marilyn Murphy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass, which will be celebrated on Tuesday March 26th, 9:30 AM, at St. Paul's Church, 16 Park Avenue, Whitesboro. A private entombment will be held at Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum of Holy Trinity Cemetery.
