In Loving Memory Helen F. Smith April 29, 1929 - October 11, 2025 BLOSSVALE, NY - Helen F. Smith, 96, of Blossvale, NY; passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at the Onieda Extended Care Facility. She was born on April 29, 1929, the daughter of the late John W. and Denise (O'Brien) Finn. She graduated from Verona High School in 1945. On November 3, 1945, she married William (Bill) Smith, at St. Francis Church, in Durhamville, NY. In January of 1991, she retired after 23 years as an Accounting Office Manager for Laribee Wire in Camden, NY. Helen was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Camden, NY. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Bill, who passed away on October 1, 2010; her brothers, Phil and Charlotte Witchley, John and Rosella Finn and James Lois Finn; sisters, Murial and Stan Pietras and Jenny Finster Sanson and Norbert; remarried, John Sanson Sr. and a daughter in law, Gail F. Smith. Helen is survived by two sons, Rodney and Glynis Smith, of Camden, and Tom Smith, of McConnellsville; three daughters, Connie and Bill Schaffner, of Valencia, PA, Bonnie Caswell, of Oneida and Amy and Kris Knight, of Oneida; along with ten grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Service Information will be as follows: Relatives and Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial which will be Celebrated at 12 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025 from St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 3rd Street, Camden. Helen will be laid to rest in St. John's Cemetery, Camden. Calling hours will be held from 4 - 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2025 from LaRobardiere Funeral Home, 109 Main Street, Camden.
